Schools day

November 8, 2018

Boys and girls form 3rd and 4th classes form the schools took part in three short games using the Go Game blitz format.  It was a great opportunity for them to learn new skills, develop friendships and have fun. Paul Callaghan Regional Games Development officer was also in attendance and commended the club on such an initiative stating that it was a great opportunity to develop and foster cross community links. Mick Murphy and Kieran Molloy were also present and refereed a few games. He again praised Conor and the club for the time and effort they put in to organising the event which was a very enjoyable and successful morning. This is the third schools day that the club have organised and they hope to run another in the near future. A great deal of thanks has to go to Conor Mc Dermott for his efforts in organising the day. Thanks also to the teachers in the various schools and all the helpers on the day without which this would not be such a success.
