Locallotto.ie

We have a new feature on the locallotto.ie system that will help Sean Treacy’s raise funds more consistently.  This is a recurring payment feature it has two components:

1. It will allow our supporters to simply click a button while they are buying a lotto ticket and in doing so, the lotto ticket will automatically renew at the end of the chosen period – essentially an electronic direct debit scheme.

2. A new report will now appear in our club administration panel.  This new report will give us full details on the status of all of the play slips where our supporters have chosen the auto renew option.

So play online now by logging on to www.locallotto.ie

This fundraiser is still open and thanks to all who have been so generous. Many people have chosen to commemerate their loved ones who have passed on to the next world by placing their names on the wall for the years to come.

Junior A Football West Final

On an historic day playing our first ever West final in our first year at this level at the first game played in Annacarty’s fantastic new pitch and dressing rooms, we were narrowly beaten by Rosegreen 1-9 Treacys 1-5 but will contest the County quarter final against Moycarkey. Team Joey Nolan Liam O’Toole Declan O’Toole Tom Keane Declan Hickey Simon Kennedy Tom Hickey Seamus Carey Denis Stapleton Derek O’Toole 0-2 Sean Kennedy PJ McLoughlin James Gough Davey O’Toole Nigel Ryan 1-3. Subs used Martin McLoughlin, Paudie Carey and Greg Kennedy. Selectors Myles Liam Nolan Eamon Ryan Tom Keane. Assisted by the breeze we led by four points to no score after twenty minutes but Rosegreen had come closer just two behind at half time. They got two more after the break so even steven but whiz kid Nigel Ryan bagged a goal and a point leaving it double scores again eight to four  or 1-5 to 0-4. The victors hit a purple patch aided by the wind and some strange calls by officials adding 1-4 but we fought back dominating the last ten minutes and try as we might the scores would not come so we will attempt to qualify for the the county semi final taking on the mid men.

Senior Hurling

We play Carrick Davins in the next round of the County Senior Hurling Championship probably this weekend.

U21 Hurling

We play the West final against Galtee and the County semi final against Ballinahinch so keep training.

U14/U16 Juvenile teams

We congratulate this big hearted team who saw off Rockwell in the west semi and Knockavilla in a super west final. They fought hard against Borrisoleigh in the county semi but it was not to be.We are all very proud of you and your mentors and recognise you as the future of the club. Also our U16s joined with Emly are through to the west B final so we believe that you can go all the way.

U14 Report
Last Sunday saw Our U14s in a county semi final against Borrisileigh with deservingly high spirits after bridging a nineteen year gap when they over came Kickhams by two points  in the west final on the eve of All Ireland victory, with a magnificent display of hurling from Borrisileigh our lads trailed from the start despite a courage’s determination to keep the scoring on a par with Borris, with four points on the score board from Bryan Carey, Patrick Deegan and Patrick Carey it left our lads with much to do when Borris clocked up a two goals and five point lead at the interval. An early goal in the second half from Jer Egan, a point from Bryan Carey and despite some gut wrenching saves from goal keeper Shane Stapleton it was just too little to match the three goals and four points that followed from a very strong Borrisileigh half forward line before the full time whistle was sounded.
We congratulate our young men for their performance, commitment to training and attitude towards their hurling trough out the year, their manager John Carey, coach Denis Stapleton and their selectors Brendan O Brien, Noel Mc Mahon and Mike Ryan on bringing these lads out of the west to a county semi final well done.  Team; 1.Shane Stapleton 2.Michael Feehan 3.Ger Egan 4.Jack O Toole 5.Thomas Lyons 6.Daragh Ryan 7.Emmet Ryan 8.Garry O Brien (Capt) 9.Patrick Deegan 10.Dylan Fahy 11.Matt Feehan 12.Darragh Kennedy 13.Patrick Carey 14.Brian Carey 15.Aaron Ryan 16.Michael Hayes 17.Simon Maher 18.Ian Fahey19.Eddie Spillane 20.Adam Hurley 21.Pat Carroll
