Tipp League

Well done to Tipp in the league and it’s great to see west man Timmy Hamersley playing in a senior jersey.

Timmy took part in our road hurling last year and we will not be holding it on the 5th April as stated last week so watch out here for a new date.

Football

Junior A training on Saturdays so heed the text.

Selectors Myles Devitt, Eamon Ryan C, Tom Keane and Liam Nolan. We step up a grade after winning the West Junior B title for the third time in our history last year and play Rosegreen first, followed by Solohead, Aherlow, Galtee, Clonoulty and last Arravale with the top four teams contesting the semi finals, so the management ask all to train hard between now and May and thereafter.

U21 Hurling

Joey Nolan Tom Hickey and Paul Shields oversaw their first challenge and thanks to Ballinahinch for travelling to The Sean Treacy Centre for the game. TJ Quigley and Tom Ryan did well in the backs with wing Damien Nolan scoring 1-1 and William Horrigan pointing a 65.

Membership

We close at the end of the month to adhere to Croke Park rules and Ger O’Toole will issue membership cards soon.

Blast from the past

We won the Joey Ryan captained Junior B football West final in 2005 and Michael Hanly handed over the Secretaries job at the start same year to Michelle Caplis. We also added the West Minor B Hurling title in 05 and followed in 2007 with an U21 double West Hurling and Football titles with JJ Ryan R at the helm and Pat Carr became our 11th Secretary. Can you name all the previous ten of them? Please text your answers and name to Seamus Costello Milestone Mortgages to win a prize.
