Intermediates

We met Galtee in the West Semi final at Sean Treacy Park on Sat 30th and played with passion and pride.

We were behind by three points after ten minutes but fought back to dominate the next forty leading by five points with eight minutes to go but it was not to be our day with the final score 0-15 to 1-14. Thanks to JJ Ryan Manager Pat Deegan and Pat Stapleton both selectors and thanks also to Toddy Sweeney our Trainer who has also given us two years of time and commitment and finally to Eamon Sweeney for his help. We thank Seamus Costello, our texter supreme, Matt Carr Physio, our supporters who followed us all year and finally to our players for their effort, heart and commitment to the club we all love. We have restored pride in our jersey and as we look forward to 2010 we can surely build on the progress made to date.

Tipp

Best of luck to the boys in blue and gold and may Tipp be the best team and win. Our recent U12 West finalists look forward to seeing Tipp in their first senior final.

Birthday boy

Congratulations to our Chairman Pat Stapleton on his half century which was celebrated in style at Jim Rues Hollyford last Saturday night. Pat has been a very successful Chairperson for the past thirteen years and is one the driving force behind our soon to be complete Clubhouse.

Website

Seamus Costello Milestone Mortgages gave an excellent presentation at a recent committee meeting outlining our new Sean Treacy website. One will be able to access news, fixtures, and recent photos, book a training slot and advertise a job to mention but a few.  We would welcome any companies or sole traders to place an ad on the soon to be launched site. These are available at a special rate of €100 main page (limited number available), €50 for pop up ones and €25 for a link and will not need to be renewed until Jan 1st 2010.

Fundraising

All players are encouraged to sell a book of ten tickets every week for our club lotto.

Our Marathon runners Sean Kennedy, Seamus Carey, Eamon Ryan and James Nolan continue their preparations for The Dublin City Marathon later this year. Please support this good cause being run in conjunction with Milford Hospice and sponsorship cards are available in all local shop, pubs and from many club members.
