Senior and Reserve

The division 4 league commenced this weekend with game against local rivals Lifford in Convoy. In a closely contested game the result was in the balance until St. Marys had a man sent off. Lifford managed to press home their numerical advantage in the second half and emerged victorious by a scoreline of 2 6 to 0 7. Overall it was an excellent team performance and with many of the panel under 20 the future augers well for St. Mary’s. The reserves put in a good team performance in their first outing of the season also against local rivals Lifford. With a mixture of youth and experience on the team the boys fought hard and dug deep for a good victory. Alan Kilpatrick did well in his debut. Final score: St. Marys 3 5: Naomh Padraig 2 7.
