Senior Footballers beat Milltown in League Clash

November 8, 2018

We played Milltown in the Senior Football League in Cregg on Sunday and we won by 0-12 to 0-5 in what was a very one sided game. At half-time we lead by 0-7 to 0-1 with our scores coming from Frankie Burke (0-5), and a point each from Niall Coleman and Damien Burke. Milltown’s only score of the half came from a Cathal Blake free in injury time. After the break Milltown improved their game but never looked like winning such was the dominance of the Annaghdown players. Our second half scores came from Frankie Burke (0-3) with Anthony Pender and Michael Newell adding the other points. This win means that Annaghdown now have seven points from four games. We face Barna in the next round. The team was Padraic Mannion, Alan Kavanagh, Adrian Fitzpatrick, Martin O’Neill, Ronan Leonard, Paul Creaven, Anthony Pender, Niall Coleman, Kevin Keane, Michael Melia, Damien Burke, Morgan Duggan, Mathias Coleman, Brendan Dooley and Frankie Burke. Subs used Benny Newell, Brian Qualter and Michael Newell.
