Senior Hurlers Top of the League

At home to Killeagh in the Senior Hurling League on Wednesday night last we had a good win to take us to the top of the Conroy Cup Co. Senior Hurling League on 20 points. From the word go we were well on top with Richie Cahill getting a cracker of a goal in the first minute. Some great points from Jerome, Terry and Richie saw us build up a commanding 1-9 to 0-4 lead at half time. A goal by Jerome early in the second half gave us an 11 point lead. Killeagh did get a goal but we finished very strongly with Barry Johnson getting a brace of goals late in the match. The final score was 4-16 to 1-8. This was a workmanlike display but it was obvious that Killeagh were very understrength.
