Edenderry started the second half very strongly and a great score from Stephen Guing gave the reds a 3 point lead. Stuart Cullen was causing major problems for the Croghan defence and two more points from the minor man stretched Edenderry's lead to 5 points. Stephen Guing added his second with easily the best score of the game and Edenderry looked to be crusing, however Croghan got back into the game with 3 good points, two from David Egan, one of which he scored from the sideline. Ken Casey scored a free to narrow the gap to just 2 points but Stuart Cullen pointed from a free to give Edenderry back their 3 point lead. Ken Casey scored Croghan's last point of the game and his 6th(2 from play) before once again Stuart Cullen pointed for the reds, his 7th in total.

This was a very good performance from Edenderry and no player could be faulted for effort. David Hanlon was brilliant throughout the game and has been a huge asset to the senior set up for 2010. Wayne Mooney and Colin McNamara added that bit of experience to the backline with Colin making a great diving catch towards the end of the game. In midfield Richie Dalton was was brilliant in the air and really dominated while Stephen Guing scored 2 excellent points. For the forwards Martin Keogh worked tirelessly and gave a huge effort. Johnny Hurst played very well and covered alot of ground while Stuart Cullen was a constant threat to the Croghan defence with his pace and movement.

The club would like to thank the players for their honest effort in keeping the team senior for 2011 and the management for all their hard work over the last 9 months.
