Ballycumber led 0-6 to 0-4 at half time, thanks to points from Colm Quinn[2], Keith Lawler, Ciaran Grennan[2], Nigel Grennan. Tullamore quickly drew level in the second half with two pointed frees. Keith Lawler responded with a point, but, Tullamore scored two more frees to which Ciaran Grennan replied with a point. Former county player John Kenny got in behind the defence and scored a goal for Tullamore. He again won possession and was pulled down for a penalty which was expertly scored. Brosna Gaels[Ballycumber, Doon, Erin Rovers,Tubber] drew their first ever senior hurling championship match in Moystown on Friday evening. Declan Rohan gave them the perfect start with a goal and they went in at half time level at 1-3 to 0-6 and were three points down entering the final quarter but superior fitness helped them to outplay their opponents and score the all important points to get a draw.
