Celbridge  1 – 12,    Naas   1 – 09

An early Celbridge goal after a double save by Naas keeper Barry Reynolds put them 1 – 1 to 0 – 1 up after five minutes. Naas fought back to draw level with ten minutes to go. Three points in the last five minutes earned Celbridge the points.

Celbridge were quick out of the blocks with a early Fergal Conway goal and points by Davy Byrne (2) and Shane Harte. Naas replied with two Joey Cocoman points and a Stephen Piggott goal. Celbridge led 1 – 3 to 1 – 2 after eighteen minutes. Three Shane Harte points against two for Naas from David Gahan and Eamonn Callaghan left Celbridge two points ahead at the interval 1 – 6 to 1 – 4.

In the second half Celbridge were first on the scoreboard with an Adrian Cahill point. Naas replied with points from Eamonn Callaghan and Conor Ferguson. Mark O’Sullivan (Celbridge) and Ross Bergin (Naas) swapped points before Shane Harte put Celbridge two ahead 1 – 9 to 1 – 7 after ten minutes. Naas equalised with points from Eamonn Callaghan and Joey Cocoman ln the 20th and 21st. minutes. However Celbridge proved the fitter side and with three points in the last five minutes from Mick Constantine, Pauric Carty and Mark O’Sullivan they sealed victory.
