SFL Div 2: Clonmore 3-15 Asca 0-9

Askea travelled out to Clonmore on Sunday evening last in the Division 2 league. The home team got off the mark with an early point from Enda McGrath, which Johnny Kavanagh soon cancelled out from a free. Clonmore were moving well on what was a fantastic evening for football. The half produced points from Gavin Byrne, Niall Humphries, Con Murphy and Jamie Walsh with Enda McGrath scoring two more along with a goal to bring his tally for the half to 1-03. Askea’s Johnny Kavanagh added another pointed free before Coleman ended the half with Clonmore’s second goal leaving the score 2-07 to 0-02 at the break. The half also saw a red card for Askea’s Joe Reilly on 22 mins. 
 
The second half saw David Mulvany putting his name on the score board with a point which was shortly followed by a second goal from Coleman. Niall Humphries added his second along with another from Con Murphy. Kavanagh was keeping Askea going with his free kicks, adding five more over the half along with one from play. Askea’s other score came from Mick Kavanagh. Clonmore’s remaining scores came from Gavin Byrne (free), two points from substitute John McGrath and one from James (scott) Doyle. The visitors were well represented by Johnny Kavanagh and Ebbie Nolan. Colin McGrath in goal, Shane Murphy, Con Murphy, Enda McGrath and Owen Coleman were some to mention throughout a very good performance from Clonmore.
