SFL Div 2: Myshall 1-11 Clonmore 1-9

November 8, 2018

Clonmore travelled down to Myshall and suffered their first defeat of the Div. 2 league in a close encounter with the physically stronger Naomh Eoin men. After a good performance in the first half, and an Eoin Coleman goal from the penalty spot, Clonmore led at half time 1-7 to 0-6. Three unanswered points after the break by Myshall showed their intentions but Clonmore battled on and led until the 55th minute when a goal put Myshall ahead for the first time on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-9. Man of the match Brian “Red” Murphy finished the scoring with his 7th point of the game to give the homeside a two point victory after Clonmore only scored two points in the half. Best for Clonmore were Colin Doyle, James Doyle, Ronan Doyle and David Mulvany.
