SFL Div 2: Palatine 1-5 Clonmore 1-17

November 8, 2018

The Intermediates maintained their 100% record in Division 2 with this convincing win over Palatine’s second team. In a very one sided affair, Clonmore scored eight points before Pal registered their first score in the 20th minute. Pal briefly threatened to make a game of it with a well taken goal and a string of points but Jamie Walsh’s clever chipped goal before half-time put Clonmore back in the driving seat: 1-9 to 1-3 at HT.

In the second half, Pal had no answer to Clonmore’s fast flowing football as, remarkably, ten  players got on the scoresheet – everyone from number 7 to 15 plus substitute John McGrath scored points with Niall Humphries’ three long range efforts the stand-out scores. Next game is away to Ballinabranna on Wednesday evening, 30 May.
