SFL Div 4: Clonmore 0-13 Ballinabranna 1-8

Clonmore Juniors recorded a narrow win over league leaders Ballinabranna to take over at the top of the table. B’branna started brighly and raced into a 0-4 to 0-1 early on and led 1-5 to 0-7 at half-time. However, Clonmore gradually got on top with a series of well taken points from the likes of Shane McGrath, Clive Lambe, PJ Byrne and the McCarney brothers, David and Kevin to take the lead with about ten minutes to go. In spite of intense B’branna pressure the Clonmore lads held out for a great win. The next game is away to Old Leighlin on Wednesday, 22 June, 7.30pm.
