SFL Div 4 - Clonmore 2-10 Grange 1-5

November 8, 2018

Juniors win again:

League Division 4: Clonmore 2-10 Grange 1-5.

The Juniors recorded their second win away to Grange and are showing steady improvement inspite of working off a small panel.

With a strong breeze in their backs, Clonmore found it hard to get into the early exchanges but finished the half strongly to go in at half time leading 1-7 to 1-2, with a major from Jamie Doyle, who had a great game at centre forward, and points from Norman Mulvany, PJ Byrne and James Doyle. The wind seemed to die down in the second half which favoured Clonmore and they continued to pick off their points. When Collie McGrath goaled midway through the second half, it left Grange with a six point gap to close. Others to score for Clonmore were Ray Mulvany (2pts), Wayne Doyle (1 pt), Jamie Doyle (2pts). Another good performance by the away side who entertain Palatine at Woodside on Wednesday evening, 29 April (7pm).
