Heartiest congratulations to Garrymore’s Shane Nally following the announcement he has won the overall gaelic fooballer Western People sports star of the year award for 2008. Shane exhibited great leadership throughout a hard-fought campaign and way key in his counties march to Connacht success. He epitomised the grit, determination and sense of purpose, which made his team special and created a lifetime of memories in a few short weeks. Shane will receive his award at a special function to be held in Ballina at the end of February.
