The two Emmets played this game in ideal conditions, both weather and ground conditions were perfect. Roche started best with a goal from Martin Craven in the early minutes, the visitors improved their advantage with 4 further points to Kilkerley’s 2 points by the quarter hour mark. The 4 to 2 scoring rate was reversed by the home team up to the short whistle to leave the half time score Roche 1-6 Kilkerley 0-6
Roche upped their effort in the second half and were 1-11 to 0-10 up when Martin Craven struck again, with 10 minutes remaining he netted again. Roche ran out on a high with the last two scores of the match with points from Philip Quinn and Kevin Callaghan.
