A chairde,

It's a very exciting time in Salthill at the moment with Ed Sheeran coming to town this weekend. But the big one this weekend is Galway's trip to Castlebar on Sunday. Best of luck to Sean Armstrong and Evan Wynne who will be involved with the Tribesmen.

A reminder the Árus will be closed from the 7th to the 14th of May.

Thanks to all our club members for their patience around the closing of the Árus and Prairie during these 2 weeks. The Árus will be open again from Monday evening. The Prairie will be handed back next Wednesday but may need another few days to receive treatment and recover. The Prairie and Pearce Stadium have both been receiving extensive treatment over the past 6 weeks to accomodate the use by the concert promoters and prepare it for covering during the event and will receive further treatment after the event.

U10s played Liam Mellowes in first game of county cluster blitz and came away with a draw in a very competitive fixture. Their next match was on Tuesday result of which not to hand.

U12s travelled to Cois Fharraige last Saturday and registered their first win of county campaign. Played in beautiful sunshine the girls put in an overall great performance taking some lovely skillfull scores.

U14s played B1 county final on Sunday in Ballinasloe against Clarinbridge. In a tight first half their opponents got a crucial goal just on half time to make it  1-02 to 0-01 at the break. The final score of 3-04 to 1-02 doesn’t reflect the closeness of the game as our girls pushed on for  scores midway through second half. Alas was not to be.  On a positive note  though this group of girls have the Féile to be held in Connacht to look forward to, taking place June 8th to 10th.

U16s continue their good form in county championship making it three wins from three at the group  stage of the competition with a win against Castlegar on Sunday evening in Cappagh.
