Dinner Dance 2018

Our annual Club Dinner Dance and Awards Night will take place on Friday the 2nd February in the Galway Bay Hotel so please keep the date free. Planning has already begun and we hope to have another wonderful night. Tickets are available from James in the office. Tables of 10 can be organised by simply giving James a name to be passed on to the Hotel and that name will appear on a table on the night. All details on the flyer below. We hope also to have a few Ed Sheeran tickets to raffle on the night also….

We had a wonderful night at the Hurling Awards night which took place in the Ardilaun Hotel last Friday the 12th. It was amazing to have the Galway senior manager there on the night as well as the Liam McCarthy Cup. A huge thank you to John McGettigan, Eamon O'Shea and all the coaches for all the hard work put in in organising the event and for their success this year.

Anyone interested in playing 25 (cards). Cards will resume again this Thursday in the kitchen in the Árus from 8.30pm. All welcome.

On the Field

Football

Well done to John Maher, Evan Murphy and Robert Finnerty who all played in Galway's FBD league win over Leitrim in Clonbur at the weekend. It was another debut with Evan Murphy making his bow and Robert Finnerty chipped in heavily scoring 4 points. Next up is Roscommon this weekend, which appears to be a dress rehearsal for the final.

Finian Hanley gave a very interesting interview to another SKGAA man Cian O'Connell on the official GAA Website. You can access the article at the following link:
