November 8, 2018

A chairde,

Back after a small break during race week with a new weeks news.

Commiserations to the Galway Minor football teams in both ladies and men’s on their losses this weekend. Both teams were represented by SKGAA players with Eoin Mcfadden and Evan Murphy lining out for the tribesmen while Saoirse Flynn was involved for the tribeswomen.

Congratulations to Adult footballer Shane Maughan on his recent marriage to Mary last week.

Well done to club coaches Declan Burke and Sean O’ Dowd who were part of the Galway Masters team who defeated Westmeath last week.

A big thank you to Geraldine Byrne, Sean Gavin and Conor Quinlan who organized the Juvenile bus to croker last Sunday to see Galway’s stunning win over Tipp in the All-Ireland Final. I heard Conor Quinlan was quieter on the way home than the way up!!

For anyone who is interested in applying for tickets for the Hurling Final, please contact James in the office on 527333 where he will put down your name for the club ticket draw. Please remember you need to be a fully paid member and have your name down with James before you can enter the draw. More information on tickets will be shared as soon as it has become known.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the Keady Family and to the great Tony Keady for his recovery from a sudden illness. Tony has been a great servant to the Galway GAA community, so we hope and pray he pulls through and sees Galway in this year’s All-Ireland Final.
