Minutes later Rory went even closer when another bullet free was somehow tipped onto the crossbar. Ethan Berkery Kelly then saw his shot on the rebound hooked off the line. A Lee Davies drive was also beaten away by the visiting keeper before Midleton broke to make it 2-0. Heartbreaking stuff. The first twenty minutes of the second half saw Crosshaven dominate. Diego Campos denied by the keeper as were Lee Davies & Patrick Cotter. Josh McCarthy had a shot cleared off the line before Diego chipped the keeper only to be denied by the crossbar. A third goal with ten minutes remaining killed off any Crosshaven hopes of a comeback and as the heads dropped Midleton scored again. The move of the match saw Diego play Lee up the wing but Padraig Murphy failed to convert at the back post. Just one of those nights. Credit to Midleton, they were clinical.
