U-14 A Championship: Myshall 3-3 Clonmore 3-12

Clonmore moved up to 2nd in the table and a step closer to an U-14 A semi final with an impressive performance in Myshall yesterday evening.

Clonmore had a dream start with a goal from their dynamo wing forward Jake Hickey. A second goal from Dylan Doyle and points from Rory Maguire (2) and Cormac Connolly (1)  followed to give the visitors a commanding lead. The home side hit back with a goal and a point from the excellent James Smithers. Clonmore responded with a goal from Robert Bulmer. A tangle between the Myshall left corner back and Dylan Doyle resulted in a straight red that left the home side down to 14, but again Myshall hit back with a goal from James Smithers to leave a half time score of Myshall 2-1 Clonmore 3-3.

It was a long 2nd half for the home side with Clonmore utilising the extra man to full advantage. The away side kicking 5 unanswered points from Dylan Doyle (3) and Robert Bulmer (2) Myshall responded with 2 well taken points and a wonder goal from Eoin Hosey running the lengh of the pitch before blasting an unstoppable shot into the top corner. Clonmore hit back with points from Jake Hickey (2) Oisin Doyle (1) and and excellent 45 from Jordan Tallon to finish the scoring for the evening.
