November 8, 2018

Clonmore 2-04  Eire Og 2-08

A highly competitive match between two very good teams.Eire Og started the brighter hitting 2 unanswered points before Clonmore settled and scored 3pts in a row from Jake Hickey Dylan Doyle and Conor Mooney.Eire Og replied with a point before Rory Maguire hit the net for the first goal of the game. Eire Og responded well with a goal and a point to leave them a point up at half time 1-04 to 1-03.A serious injury to the Clonmore corner forward Conor Mooney saw him carried off right on the half time whistle.Again Eire Og started the half on the front foot kicking 3 points in a row but Clonmore responded with a goal from Dylan Doyle to leave just a point between the sides. Again Eire Og replied with a goal and a point to put 5 between them.A late rally from Clonmore saw them dominate possession but could only add a Jake Hickey point to the score board. The quality of passing and movement was excellent from both sides, a very enjoyable game of football to watch.PHOTO: Back row. L-R.
