U-14 Championship: Clonmore 7-9 Muinebheag 0-11

Clonmore moved into 2nd place in the Championship table with an impressive 2nd half display in McGrath Park last night.

Bagnelstown started the match on the front foot, moving the ball quickly and getting out in front of their men almost every time.The home side went into a 3pt lead, 2 from frees and 1 from play. The visitors responded with points from Robert Bulmer, Dylan Doyle and Billy Lawlor.Bagnelstown continued their good open football and kicked another 4 unanswered points. Another Billy Lawlor for Clonmore point reduced the half time deficit to 3pts HT: 0-7 to 0-4. 

Clonmore hit the ground running in the second half, moving the ball quickly through the zones with some slick passing and movement to rack up a score of 7-5 through Jake Hickey (1-0), Luke Connolly (1-0), Cormac Connolly (1-0), Rory Maguire (1-1),  Billy Lawlor (1-1),  Robert Bulmer (1-0), Oisín Doyle (1-1) and Dylan Doyle (0-2).

The hosts kept battling to the end and tagged on another 4 points to leave a full time score of Muinebheag 0-11 Clonmore 7-9.
