U-21 C'ship Q/F: St Andrews 5-14 Clonmore 0-7.

November 8, 2018

Clonmore opened brightly and Dale McNamara put us into an early lead with two excellent points. But the writing was on the wall when St Andrews scored a goal in their first attack and their lively forwards seemed to be able to find their way through Clonmore's young backline rather too easily. When they scored three more goals before half-time (one a penalty) there was no coming back for Clonmore. Half-time score: 4-6 to 0-3.

Still the lads battled on throughout the second half and played some very good football but it just wasn't their night.

The club would like to thank the 16 players who travelled to Kildavin to fulfill this fixture when it looked at one time that we might not be able to field a team. Thanks to each one of you – your attendance and willingness to represent the club in these difficult circumstances is much appreciated.
