U12 B Championship

November 8, 2018

Edenderry……1-05
DER Gaels…….2-06

Edenderry’s second Under 12 Football team travelled to Doon last Saturday to take on DER Gaels in the U12 ‘B’ Championship.

While preparations for this team were limited due to lack of match practice, the team gave a very good account of themselves and were unlucky not to leave with a win.

Edenderry started strongly and despite lots of possession in the first ten minutes failed to make it tell on the scoreboard. DER Gaels then scored two goals before Edenderry fought back to leave the half time score, Edenderry 1-3 DER Gaels 2-2.

The second half proved to be a low scoring affair with both sides adding some excellent points to their tally, before DER Gaels ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-5.

Overall a promising start to the B Championship for Edenderry and with lots more training they look forward to the next game against Ballinamere/Durrow on June 27th.
