U14 Hurling Championship

November 8, 2018

A fine performance from the team in the championship saw the boys cruise past a gallant Warrenpoint team. Played in terrible conditions the team took time to settle recording a number of early wides and missed chances. It took Jake Carville to produce a fine score to start the team playing and with Pete Jones and Aidan Mccartan dominating midfield some cracking scores followed, an overhead strike by Jake the pick. Cahal Keown set up some fine scores for Mick hat trick Gilmore and the town settled into a comfortable half time lead. A solid second half performance saw the town run out easy winners with Aidy Doc and jamie Clarke cleaning up any Warrenpoint attacks and Sean Hardy showing plenty of potential with a fine point on his debut. The Carville brothers played well and Reece was unlucky not to score a goal. A good performance even with a number of players on holiday but much improvement is needed for the next round. Training Monday 6.30 Bann Road. Full panel needed.
