Greenfields U14 B 3 – 0 Athlone U14 C
A great performance by this young team, Vicky Langan played her best game of the season, scoring the first goal with great ease. Her second goal was a great example of determination & fitness. Vicki chased down a long ball hit towards the back line by Fiona Nee. When everyone else gave up, Vicki caught the ball on the back line & shot it past the goalie. Third goal by Róisín Miller was a really well taken shot from the edge of the circle.

In this game, the final meeting of the city rivals, Greenfields exerted a lot of pressure & had several excellent chances – all either saved off the line by the Galway goalie or sweeper. The ball just would not go in. The entire team worked really hard & were very disappointed not to score.
