Drangan and Cloneen under 14 girls played their community games match against Powerstown in Monroe this evening. The girls got off to a slow start and were down 8 points by end of the first 10 minutes. In the next 10 minutes the Drangan and Cloneen girls started to pile on the pressure and by half time had come right back into the game.
The third quarter belong to the Drangan and Cloneen girls and into the fourth quarter the match was leveled, it was a very tight game right to the end with Powerstown coming out on top by a point.
The girls can hold their heads up high as they gave a great display throughout. Final score Powerstown 3.10; Drangan and Cloneen 5.3. Best of luck to Powerstown in their next match.
