Neale  2—10  V   Kilmeena  0—08

The Neale recorded back to back victories in the league with a spirited win over Kilmeena last Tuesday, Dylan Fallon got them on there way with a wonderful individual effort straight from the throw-in. A quick 1—01 from the accurate Steven Conroy put them 1—02 to no score ahead after ten minutes. Two Kilmeena points narrowed the gap before Conroy and Kilmeena  exchanged points to leave the Neale 1—03 to 0—03 ahead entering the second quarter. An excellent goal by Aidan Sullivan widened the gap however the Kilmeena refused to die and two close in frees kept them in touch. Steven Conroy had the last say of the half with a point from an acute angle to leave the half time score the Neale 2—04 to 0—05.

The Neale started the second half brightly and five unanswered points from Steven Morrin(2). Conroy(2) and Sullivan pushed them 2—09 to 0—05 ahead with twenty minutes remaining. At this stage the Neale began to lose there shape and Kilmeena completely took over. They scored three points on the bounce and it could have been more put for bad shooting and some excellent goal keeping by the Neale’s custodian Jamie Walsh. Best on the night were Jamie Walsh,  Conor Haire, Killian Mc Hugh, Steven Conroy, Steven Morrin, Aidan Sullivan and Keith Gibbons.
