Hard luck to our Under 16 players who were beaten by Borris-Ileigh by 0-12 to 0-8 in the north championship semi final in St Flannan's Park on Monday evening.
The game which was played in wet conditions throughout, began well for Moneygall and we led by 0-6 to 0-1 midway through the first half. Borris-Ileigh were soon in their stride however and had reduced the gap to 0-6 to 0-4 by half time.
Borris-Ileigh continued to hold the upper hand through out the second half, first drawing level and then going in front. In the end they were deserving winners on a 0-12 to 0-8 scoreline.
