Unbelievable Under 21 Record Ends

St. Michael's the Rhode Parish Under 21 team were defeated by St. Broughan's in the quarter final of the Offaly Under 21 Championship on Friday night in Walsh-Island on a 4-11 to 0-9 score line.  The first half of this game was well contested with St. Broughan's leading at the interval 1-5 to 0-6.  St. Broughan's with county star Peter Cunningham was in great form took complete control to win easily in the end.  The Rhode parish side fielded a very young team they tried valiantly and never gave up.  It ends a great run at this level for St. Michael's as they have won the last three championships in a row and since 1999 they have won ten championships at this level.  The club would like to thank the team management, players and the St. Brigid's and Clonmore Harps club for their cooperation with the parish side.
 
Rhode Senior footballers gained second victory in this year's league when they recorded a four point win over Tullamore in Rhode in Sunday morning.  
 
Division 3 League Rhode v Ballyfore in Ballyfore in Sunday at 11.30am.
 
Under 12 training starts this Saturday morning at 10am at Fr. Dowling Park please be there 15 minutes before training starts.
 
Rhode GAA Club are holding a greyhound fundraiser night on the Saturday of the May bank holiday weekend which is May 3rd.  Further details in the next few weeks
 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 24th of March for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 1 2 21 27 .  The club  like 6to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Doyle's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €70 each.  Next week's draw takes place in Killeen's

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!
