St. Michael's the Rhode Parish Under 21 team were defeated by St. Broughan's in the quarter final of the Offaly Under 21 Championship on Friday night in Walsh-Island on a 4-11 to 0-9 score line. The first half of this game was well contested with St. Broughan's leading at the interval 1-5 to 0-6. St. Broughan's with county star Peter Cunningham was in great form took complete control to win easily in the end. The Rhode parish side fielded a very young team they tried valiantly and never gave up. It ends a great run at this level for St. Michael's as they have won the last three championships in a row and since 1999 they have won ten championships at this level. The club would like to thank the team management, players and the St. Brigid's and Clonmore Harps club for their cooperation with the parish side.
Rhode Senior footballers gained second victory in this year's league when they recorded a four point win over Tullamore in Rhode in Sunday morning.

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 24th of March for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 1 2 21 27 . The club like 6to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Doyle's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.
