Under 10- senior men

November 8, 2018

The under 10 boys and girls travelled to Lifford to the blitz last weekend. Both teams performed very well. Training next Saturday is at the earlier time of 10.30am. The under 8’s have a challenge match against Termon.  All under 10’s are asked to meet at pitch at 1030.

The under 12’s completed their league campaign with a 100% record on Wednesday week last  with a comprehensive victory over neighbours Lifford. This is a great achievement as it will be the first time the club will be competing in the top division at the U-12 grade. Played on a very hot evening, the home team dominated from the start and this continued through the game. The lead at half time was 3-6 to 0-0 with all the scoring coming from Jack Blake and Simon McGlynn. There were a number of personnel and positional changes in the second half but this didn’t affect the performance, with the scoring more spread, scores from Gavin McLaughlin, Dannan O’Kane, Conor Rodgers, Jack Blake, Luke Witherow and John Toye.
Team: Paul Kelly, Curtis McBride, Gavin McLaughlin (0-2), Brian McNamee, Mark Bonner, Dannan O’Kane (0-2), Anthony Bogle, John Toye (0-1), James Kee, Dale Lafferty, Jack Blake (2-5), Luke Witherow (1-0), Erica Wilson, Simon McGlynn (2-2), James Sweeney Subs: Corey O’Kane, Conor Rodgers (0-1), Morgan McNamee, Ciara Mc Daid, Kellin Mathewson, Evan Roarty, Ronan Kelly

On Monday night the team played Gaoth Dobhair in the semi-finals and won comfortably. The game played in Convoy, seen the home team dominate the first half to lead at half time by 2-9 to 0-3 with the goals coming from Simon McGlynn and Dannan O’Kane. The second half was a slightly closer affair but the home team always looked stronger and with some excellent defending and hard work ran out deserving winners. This was the teams’ best performance to date and hope to continue on top form when they play St. Eunans in the final. The game has been set for Glenswilly on Sunday the 14th June at 7:30. Supporters welcome.
