Under 12 Hurlers

Congratulations to the U12 hurling team who had a great 3-2 to 2-3 win on saturday morning in deerpark. In thier 1st game since the merging of the U11 and U12 hurling teams they fielded a strong panel of 16 players who all played thier part in a real gritty performance. Olafs started the stronger with a great goal from long range from midfielder Andrew Kyne Delaney. Delaney and fellow midfielder James O’Connor were magnificent throughout the game. Olafs built up a big lead by half time thanks to great defensive work from Conor McGuire, Sean Flynn, Oisin McDermot and Jamie O’Malley. Kilmacud crokes came back into the game in the 2nd half getting to within a point but some outstanding blocks in particular by Mark Doyle held them out.
