Under 14 Football Final

November 8, 2018

This Saturday 19th September, Edenderry will take on Ferbane/Belmont in the under 14 ‘A’ football county final at 1 o’clock in O’Connor Park, Tullamore. Referee for the game will be Eddie Dunne.

These young lads have done brilliantly to get to this final, after a terrible start to the Championship saw them lose their first three games. But they recovered well to record good wins over St Vincent’s, Clara, Tullamore, Rhode and Kilcormac/Killoughey to reach the semi-final. After a tough game with Kilcormac/Killoughey in the semi-final, Edenderry qualified for this final on a scoreline of 3-04 to 0-05.

Many observers will expect Ferbane/Belmont to be too strong, as they defeated Edenderry earlier in the group stages of the Championship. But if Edenderry play to their full abilities they can beat Ferbane/Belmont.

The club wishes all the players and management of John Kelliher, Ger Farrell, Tom Lawton and Jimmy Dolan the very best of luck in their effort to bring home Edenderry’s first Under 14 title since 1994.

All support would be greatly appreciated for this fabulous group of players.
