Under 16 'A' C'ship Semi-Final: Clonmore 1-6 Fenagh 2-9

November 8, 2018

The Under 16s were unlucky to lose to Fenagh by 2-9 to 1-6 in the Championship semi-final on Friday last. Fenagh received the boost of a early goal from a penalty and built on that to lead by 2-4 to 0-2 at half-time. The Clonmore lads raised their game after the break and put in a spirited second half performance with some excellent passages of play. Points by Dylan Doyle and Rory Maguire and a goal by Adam Deay reduced the arrears to 2-7 to 1-4 on 46 minutes and gave us hope of a comeback in the final quarter. But despite their best efforts the lads could not reduce the margin below 6 points.
