The annual Under 16 hurling tournament for the Mary Moroney cup was played in Anner Park on last Saturday 20th October. In the first game Anner Gaels defeated Moneygall – Clonakenny by 2-8 to 2-7. Ballingarry defeated Anner Gaels in the second game and Moneygall- Clonakenny defeated Ballingarry in the third game. Anner Gaels lost out on a place in the final on score difference and Ballingarry defeated Moneygall-Clonakenny by 2-5 to 3-1 in the final. We thank all the players and their officials for coming along on Saturday and participating. Thanks to referee Paul Guinan for giving of his time and to all who provided sandwiches and cakes and helped with catering on the day.
