Under age action

November 8, 2018

Juvenile Hurling
The under 14 hurlers recorded their second win of the championship with an clearcut 3-9 to 1-9 victory over Abbeyknockmoy in the Prairie this week. With the poweful Joseph McNamara dominating at centreback, Ciaran O'Dwyer at midfield and Keelan Ward at centre forward, the home side took some fine scores with the wind in the first half to lead at half-time. However, they really excelled in the second half to stay on top, and the evening was capped by an excellent point from wing-back Aidan Hawkins who had his best game to date. Morgan Hanley and Shane Kelly also impressed, while Sean Colleran commanded the full-back position throughout.

Juvenile Football
U10 boys football enjoyed 3 great games against a Clarenbridge panel, in which Joe Reichenbach, Calum Crowe, Eoin Madden and Ronan Hynes gave their customary high performance while newcomers Adam Cunningham and James Langan showed marked improvement.

The new nets in Cappagh park were needed for the U12 girls as they came out on top against a versatile Leitir Mór team, where Sinead Davies and Niamh Conway fought bravely in the forwards and Niamh Breen returned from injury to display her lightening speed and great handling.
Best of luck to Peter Hughes who is leaving for Canada. All his Junior B teammates wish him luck on his big move.
