Sinéad Meagher and her partner Clodagh Nash from Clare captured gold in the World Handball Championships in Calgary, Canada last Friday. Sinéad also won a silver medal in the girl’s under-17 singles that evening. As an added bonus during this championship Sinéad became the first Nenagh Handball Club player ever to play competitively abroad. We would also like to give special mention to her coach Eamonn Spillane who has honed her skills over the years and has played a massive role in the revival of handball in the club.
