JUVENILE

There was a great turnout for the under-8 and under-10 matches in Borrisoleigh on Saturday morning. Keep up the hard work at training as there are many more matches planned for the summer. Many thanks to our hosts Borris-Ileigh GAA!

Our under-12 hurlers enjoyed a good start to their championship on Friday night with both groups beating Toomevara opposition in Nenagh.

Group D fought a tough match just coming out on top on a scoreline of

2-01 to 1-02. The A match was a very lively game with some great points being scored by both sides under, at times, shocking conditions. Nenagh had too much on the night though for Toome and ended worthy winners on a 2-12 to 0-6 scoreline. Group D are away to Moneygall on Friday night while Group A have a bye. Please check nenagheireog.com for up to date fixtures.

The under-14 hurlers opened their championship campaign with a defeat to Borrisokane on Wednesday last on a scoreline of 2-09 to 1-06. We play Toomevara in the next round on Wednesday, June 10th at 7pm in Nenagh. We hope to have an under-14 Development Squad match next weekend. Training continues on Saturdays at 11am and Mondays at 6.30pm.

Well done to Evan Murphy who beat off stiff competition to win the Under-16 Poc Fada North Final in Kilcolman on Saturday. He will now compete in the county final to be held in the Galtees on Saturday morning.

Our annual Summer Camp will run from Monday, July 20th to Friday July 24th from 2pm to 5pm. It has evolved over the years in to much more than a hurling camp with a lot of emphasis on fitness, movement and fun games. All are welcome. Contact Catherine on 086 085 5165 for more information!
