VOLUNTEER APPEAL

In 2014 Nenagh Éire Óg catered for over 400 active members (170 juvenile, 225 adult) and in 2015 we hope to grow that number. Crucially, however, we are not simply interested in developing our playing population. We are also interested in attracting volunteers who are interested in becoming coaches with the club and administrators of the club.

Here at Éire Óg we appreciate that not everyone can train a team, that not everyone is interested in coaching and that not everyone has time to attend committee meetings. That said there are plenty of very practical ways in which you can help your club work hard for the betterment of the local community, our children and our cultural heritage.

We therefore encourage anyone in the community who supports the club and who is prepared to give of their time on a voluntary basis to get involved so that fresh faces can bring fresh ideas forward. If you take that brave first step over the threshold, we guarantee that you will not regret it. So, if you are interested in lending a hand drop us a line – contact us: http://www.nenagheireog.com/index.php/contact/

JUVENILE

Congratulations: Well done to Conor Robinson, Seán Phelan, Jason Teefey, Brendan Long and Gavin Dooley who were part of the North Tipp under-14 football panel that competed in a Tipp inter-divisional tournament at the weekend.

AGM: The juvenile club AGM will take place on Tuesday, December 16th in the complex at 8pm.

CAMOGIE

Volunteers: The Camogie section are always looking for new volunteers to get involved in coaching, administration and in helping out with the club's monthly newsletter. If you would like to get involved in anyway please contact us on eireognenagh@gmail.com. It is a great way to make friends while helping better our club and community.

Book Launch: We wish to congratulate Donal A Murphy, PJ Maxwell and Nancy Murphy on the publication of our club history book, ‘A Central Culture – Gaelic Sport in Nenagh’. The book is now available in all local book shops and retailers and can be purchased from our website.

Bag Packing: We are holding a bag packing fundraiser in Dunnes Stores on Friday, December 19th and are looking for volunteers. Running our Camogie club is not cheap and we provide a great service to players throughout the year and in return we just need one hour of your time. If you are willing to help out please contact Denise Morris 087 674 2591 or email eireognenagh@gmail.com.
