JUVENILE

Under-6 & Under-8: Our under-6 hurlers had a great time in Roscrea on Saturday morning playing two matches and receiving medals for their hard work. Thanks to hosts Roscrea and Michael Cleary at JKC Toymaster for the ice-cream afterwards.

Under-10: The under-10 team welcomed Murroe-Boher to Nenagh on Saturday.

Thanks to the parents for their support and help with the catering. The boys now travel to Toome this Saturday for a blitz. More details from mentors during the week.

Under-13 Plate: Our under-13 hurlers played two rounds of the under-13 hurling league in the past week and recorded victories over Kildangan at home on Wednesday and Ballina away of Friday night. We play Toomevara away this Friday night with the final group game against Borris-Ileigh scheduled for the following Friday night. Training times will be advised by text.

Under-16: The boys bowed out of the championship on Saturday afternoon in Cloughjordan following a two-point loss to Kilruane in the north semi-final – final score 1-16 to 1-14. It was a great game of hurling played with passion and fight from start to finish by both teams. We came out of it just short of the win, but the lads can be very proud of their performance. Well done and thank you to management team of Michael Grey, Paudie Gleeson and Robbie Ryan and they in turn would like to commend the players for their hard work and honesty all year.

NENAGH HANDBALL CLUB

Hard luck to Katie Morris who lost out in her under-13 girls singles Munster final on Saturday. It was still a great achievement for this young rising star in the club and she has a bright future ahead in the game.
