Senior: Éire Óg’s north Tipperary senior hurling championship semi-final against Borris-Ileigh is expected to take place on the week-ending Sunday, August 24th.

Junior A: Nenagh Éire Óg beat Burgess 1-15 to 0-13 at Dolla on Friday evening to book their place in the knock-out stages of this year’s north Tipperary junior A hurling championship. For a full report on this encounter please see the club website – click here.

Junior B: Nenagh Éire Óg’s junior B hurlers were expected to play Portroe on Sunday evening, but that game was postponed.

Minor A: The minor A clash with Kilruane MacDonagh’s fixed for Thursday, August 7th was postponed. This week the lads take on Borris-Ileigh. This is a vital game for the team and the lads would really appreciate your support.

The Premier League kicks off on the weekend of August 16th – get your entry in! Toomevara man Damien O’Meara won last year’s competition while Paul Burke was second, Mark Flannery third, Denis Ryan fourth, pre-season favourite Noel Maloney was fifth, David Burke sixth, Eddie Darcy seventh, Dean Ryan eighth, Jimmy Henry ninth and Brian McDonnell tenth.

JUVENILE

Under-6 & Under-8: Training continues at normal times. Matches planned so keep practising.

Under-10: Our under-10 hurlers enjoyed a great match against Roscrea on Saturday morning. Keep up the great work at training.

Under-12: The boys are travelling to Dublin for the Tipp-Cork semi-final on Sunday and training continues this week in preparation for a match on the way. More details from management during the week. Up Tipp!

Under-14: Our under-14 North hurling semi-final versus Kildangan had to be called off at the last minute on Saturday last due to weather conditions. Both teams were togged out and ready in the dressing room when the heavens opened and the correct decision to call off the game was made by referee Ger Fitzpatrick. The match has been re-fixed for Saturday in Puckane at 12 noon. Please come out and support the lads.

Under-16: Please check club website and face book for details of last Monday’s under-16 match against Roscrea.

NENAGH HANDBALL CLUB

Hard luck to Eamonn Spillane who lost out 2-1 to Gerry Foley of Ballinahinch in the Diamond Masters B Munster Final on Friday last. Eamonn has another chance for Munster glory this week when he teams up with Gerry to play the Diamond Masters B Doubles Final in Tuamgraney on Thursday night. Best of luck to the lads!

CAMOGIE

Under-10: This team are travelling to Dundrum this weekend for the Moira Cahill Memorial Tournament hosted by the Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Camogie club. Management will be in contact with the details. We also played Kilruane MacDonagh’s in Nenagh last Thursday in a very entertaining challenge game. Thanks to Kilruane for making the journey and the game.

Under-14: The under-14 team take on Ballina in the opening round of the A championship on Thursday at 7.15pm in Nenagh. Your support is appreciated.

Under-15: Congratulations to our under-15 team which defeated Drom & Inch last week in the county league final. It was a great performance all round and a deserved reward for lots of hard work from a dedicated panel and management team.

Under-16: Our under-16 team had a great win over Éire Óg Annacarty in the championship during the week. This is our second win of the campaign having previously beaten Drom & Inch and losing to Newport. This victory sees us through to the knock out stages. Well done to all involved. Junior A: Our Junior A team are creating a little bit of history this Thursday when they take on Templemore in the opening round of the championship. This will be the first time the club will have featured in the junior A championship. This game is at 7.15pm in Templemore and your support is more than appreciated.

Bag Packing: A sincere thank you to all who volunteered to bag pack last weekend in Tesco. This is a vital fundraiser and your generosity is very much appreciated. Thanks also to Tesco and their staff for allowing us this opportunity and to the kind shoppers who donated.
