ADULT
Senior: Well done to the Éire Óg senior team which earned a one-point win over a very impressive Kilruane MacDonagh’s team in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Challenge Cup on Sunday in Nenagh. A brief report on the 0-21 to 1-17 win is available on the club website – see here!
Junior A: The junior A hurlers got their north Tipperary league campaign off to winning start in Moneygall on Saturday afternoon when beating the home side 2-12 to 1-7 in poor weather conditions. A brief report on this game is available on the club website. See here!
Congratulations: Well done to Michael Heffernan and Paddy Murphy who featured in Tipperary’s vital Allianz National Hurling League win over Dublin at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday afternoon.

JUVENILE
Under-6 & Under-8: Under-6 and under-8 training continues on Saturday mornings at 10am. New members born from 2009 on are welcome.
Under-10: Our under-10 hurlers welcomed their counterparts from Kilmacud Crokes on Sunday morning last prior to the Tipperary v Dublin match in Thurles. All involved had a wonderful time with some great talent on display. Many thanks to all the parents who helped out with the catering!
Under-12: The under-12 football league continues on Saturday, March 29th with both groups A and D playing Kildangan in round three in Puckane. Times will be confirmed by text and will also be published on the website. Training continues on Mondays at 5.30pm. Bring hurling and football gear. Don’t forget the mouthguards!
Under-14: The under-14 team played two challenge games in the past week. On Wednesday night we travelled to Limerick to play Na Piarsaigh under lights and on Sunday we welcomed Shinrone to MacDonagh Park. Thanks to Michael Hallinan who refereed the home game. Training on Saturday morning next at 11am.
Under-16: The under-16A football league kicked off in MacDonagh Park on Sunday last. After a slow start our lads showed great spirit to come right back into the game against a strong Inane Rovers side. In a hard fought contest we ran out losers on the tightest of margins on a scoreline of 1-10 to 2-6. Round two is scheduled for Saturday, March 29th against Kilruane MacDonagh’s in Nenagh – more information from management during the week. Check the website for details.
Membership: All outstanding memberships should be paid to team management immediately. For insurance purposes, unregistered players will not be allowed to play matches.
Congratulations: Well done and keep up the hard work to all our juveniles playing North Tipp divisional football and attending hurling trials at present.
HANDBALL
All the very best of luck to Sinéad Meagher who will compete against Armagh opposition in the under-15 girls singles All-Ireland final this week. Sinéad will play her final at 9am on Saturday morning in Clarecastle.
CAMOGIE
Under-12: The under-12s had a very enjoyable blitz in Ballinahinch where they played three games against Shannon Rovers, Newport and Silvermines last Saturday. Thanks to Ballinahinch for the wonderful day out.
Under-14: Our under-14 team travelled to Clare for a challenge game ahead of this weekend’s Féile na nGael final. Details of this fixture have yet to be confirmed. Please keep an eye on the club’s Facebook page for further information.
Tipperary: Congratulations to Rachel Maher, Alanna Morris and the Tipperary under-18 team who defeated Galway 2-6 to 0-5 in the All-Ireland championship on Saturday last. They are playing Wexford next Saturday in The Ragg and have already qualified for the All-Ireland semi-finals. A very special congratulations goes to Grace O’Brien, Hazel McAuliffe and Maeve Coffey who were members of the Tipperary under-16 team which captured the Munster title on Sunday after a great win over Cork on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-10. The girls have been tremendous ambassadors for the club and we are all extremely proud of their achievements. Also on the team was Kildangan player and Nenagh Handball Club star Sinéad Meagher. Well done to all involved.
Fundraisers: On April 26th we are having a second hand clothes collection to raise funds. All old clothes will be gratefully received. Our annual Easter walk will take place on May 5th. Money raised from both events will go directly to the camogie club.
Volunteers: We are always looking for new people to get involved in the club and if you would like to contribute to the growth of Camogie in terms of administration, coaching, playing or in any other way please email eireognenagh@gmail.com.

CLUB HISTORY
As most of you are aware the club, under the expert guidance of PJ Maxwell, Nancy Murphy and Donal A Murphy, are putting the finishing touches to our club history book. This promises to be a comprehensive collection of the history of Gaelic games in our parish.
While the club have made every effort to collect photographs of teams from the present to the distant past and other pictures which would be of interest we appeal to people to get in touch if you have a photograph of interest in your possession.
Please do not assume that we already possess your photograph or that it is of no interest.
Every Éire Óg photo, whether it is of a team, presentation or action shot is of massive importance to us and we would be delighted to have it. We are also anxious to get photos of school teams from any of the schools in the community.
