ADULT

Minor A: On Wednesday night last in Semple Stadium, Thurles our minor hurlers comprehensively defeated Carrick Swans (5-19 to 0-14) to reach the county final for the third successive year. Following that mid-week semi-final win attention turned to Sunday afternoon’s county final in Semple Stadium, Thurles when Éire Óg dramatically defeated Holycross-Ballycahill on a score line of 3-10 to 1-15. Goals from Killian Gleeson and Andrew Coffey before half-time and another in the second half by Gary Howard helped Éire Óg toward this epic one-point victory. Under-21A: On Monday, October 28th Nenagh Éire Óg will take on Kildangan in the opening round of the Walsh’s of Nenagh Under-21A Hurling Championship. The game will take place in MacDonagh Park, Cloughjordan at 3pm; extra-time will be played if required. The draw for the second round of the under-21A championship has also taken place – in the second round the winner of the clash between Nenagh Éire Óg and Kildangan will play Roscrea while the loser will face the winners of the match between Lorrha-Dorrha and Toomevara. The remaining games in the second round are: Kilruane MacDonagh’s versus Borris-Ileigh and Burgess versus the losers of the clash between Toomevara and Lorrha-Dorrha. So far Burgess have beaten Borris-Ileigh and Kilruane MacDonagh’s got the better of Roscrea. Kilruane MacDonagh’s are the defending champions.

DR HARTY CUP

Nenagh CBS will return to Dr Harty Cup action when the lads face Blackwater Community School on Wednesday, October 23rd. Nenagh CBS’ remaining group games will be against Rochestown (November 6th) & Dungarvan CBS (November 20th). The quarter-finals are scheduled to take place on January 15th, the semi-finals on February 1st and the final on February 23rd.

Meanwhile the Nenagh CBS under-16.5 hurlers won a B quarter-final when they beat Dungarvan 2-10 to 0-12.

CAMOGIE

Under-12B: Play Silvermines on Monday.

Under-12A: Away to Éire Óg Annacarty on Saturday.

Under-14A: This team is due to play Silvermines on Sunday at noon.

Minor: It looks as if the minor semi-final will be on the weekend of November the 3rd. We ask all girls on this panel to stay focused and keep on training.

Junior: Our juniors are in the county final this Sunday at noon in the Camogie Grounds, The Ragg where we play Knockavilla. We hope a huge support will turn out to cheer us on. Best of luck girls!

Flag Day: We held our annual flag day and church gate collections over the weekend and we wish to thank all those who volunteered their time to raise these much needed funds. Also a very special thank you to everyone who so generously donated money.

JUVENILE

Many thanks to Christy Manning for the recent sponsorship of goodie bags for the under-10 trip to the county final. The generosity shown to the juveniles all year by the Manning family is much appreciated.
