County Challenge Cup: Our senior hurlers defeated Lorrha in the county challenge cup on Sunday afternoon last. Final score was 4-17 to 2-14.We have drawn Ballingarry at home in our next match and his will be played next weekend.
 
JAHL: Our junior A team begin their league campaign this weekend when they play Toomevara on Saturday at 4.30 in Nenagh.
 
Tournament: Our Senior hurlers played Kilmacud Crokes last Saturday in a special tournament game for the John Tucker memorial trophy. Thanks to everyone who helped out and to Kilmacud Crokes for travelling down to play the game.
 
Fantasy Cheltenham: Congrats to Brian McDonnell(Snr) on winning the fantasy cheltenham competition and thanks again to everyone who purchased tickets for this fundraiser.
 
Membership: Club membership for 2013 is now overdue and should be paid to any club officer or online at www.nenagheireog.com. All players, managers and team mentors must be fully paid up club members.

 

Juvenile News:

Thanks to everybody who participated in the St Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, to parents, coaches and especially the kids. A great day was had by all. Congratulations to the parade committee on a very successful day for the town.

U14 Feile Peil match v Borrisokane scheduled for last Monday was postponed until possibly next Saturday. More from management. Reminder to all players to have a gum shield ready for matches and training. They will not be allowed to play without one.

Any outstanding juvenile memberships should be paid to managers or any committee member immediately.


Camogie News:

Hard luck to Aileen Duggan and Alanna Morris who featured with the Tipperary U18 team in their defeat to Kilkenny at the weekend in the All Ireland Championship.  Also hard luck to Ciara McGrath who played on the Tipperary intermediate team defeated by Kildare in the league.
 
Well done to our junior camogie team who defeated Cashel King Cormac’s at the weekend in the league on a score line of  9-05 to 2-05. It was great to see so many of our younger players step up to the plate and give some fantastic performances.
 
Our U14 team qualified for the Feile final having defeated Drom & Inch in the semi final on Monday last. Best of luck in the final girls which is the Friday, 22nd March against Newport.

Our Easter Walk is on 7 April at 12pm. This is a vital fundraiser for the club and all players are asked to take part.

The Under 12s are playing a blitz this Saturday.

Registration needs to be in ASAP as players cannot play unless they’re registered.
