Juvenile club news:
U14: We were well beaten by Kilruane in the semi final in Nenagh on Sunday last. We gave away a lot in size to Kilruane who had a great start from which the lads did not recover. Thanks to all the players for their efforts and to Donie O’Brien, David Minogue and Brian O’Brien for their work with this team.
U16: The semi final is scheduled to be played on Monday August 27th, opponents to be confirmed.
Handball: Hard luck to Aaron Hogan and Liam Bradshaw (Newport) who were beaten 2-1 in the All Ireland semi final of U15 doubles last weekend. Their opponents from Kilkenny included a son of the legendary DJ Carey. Well done to Eamon Spillane and Gerry Foley (Ballinahinch) who won their All Ireland semi final of the Emerald Masters against their Louth opponents by 2-0. They now play Mayo in the final to be played this weekend.

The B team lost to Moycarkey in the semi-final last week. With a number of girls away on holidays it was always going to be hard but the panel performed really well and they extra games will have benefited  all the girls. There is extra training for the next two weeks to get ready for semi finals and also the All Ireland Community games finals on the W/end of the 25/26 of August. Our County U/14 were in Action in Kilkenny last weekend with both teams reaching their Finals with the A team beating Kilkenny and the B team losing by 2pts to Wexford. Well done to Anna, Clodagh, Mary, Mike, Niamh and Sarah who were our representatives on the day. The Tipperary Blitz is the next one on the 25th of August in Thurles.
U16s. Training times are being sent out by text.  We are still awaiting the semi-final draw but we ask all girls to keep the effort up for the next few weeks.
Junior B: Well done to Danielle Harrington who made her Tipperary debut when they beat Kerry in the Munster Junior semi-final last week. She made a big impression when introduced in the second half. Best of luck to Ciara Mcgrath and the Tipperary intermediate team who play Derry in the All Ireland semi-Final in Dublin this Sunday. This match will be played in Parnell park around 12 if anyone wants to see it before going to Croke park. Our game against Portroe was cancelled last Friday and will be rescheduled for a later date. Best wishes to all our players and supporters who are getting the Leaving Cert results this week. Remember what’s for you will not pass you by!
