Camogie Club News:
U8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. U/8 Blitz in the Ragg this Saturday.
U10’s are training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30. We have another Blitz coming up in Dundrum on the 28th of July.
U12’s. The U/12s are training on a Monday and Thursday Evening.  A U/12 blitz is expected this weekend. Details at Training.
U14s. The U/14s are training on Mondays and Thursdays. Another brilliant weekend for this crop of very talented girls. Our Community games team won the Munster semi-final and final last Saturday in UL, Limerick. This was a brilliant achievement, and was down not just to hard work but also some very skilful and powerful camogie. We beat the Clare champions, Sixmilebridge, in the semi- final scoring some very good goals in the process. In the final we played the champions of Cork, Ennis Kean. We started a little slow and were behind early but then we took over and it was our point scoring that really shone through. Well done to all and we can now look forward to the All Ireland finals on the 25th of August. Well done to Laura Tierney who played with the Tipp primary games team at the Munster Final in Cork. Our 14 a team got a walkover from Burgess last week and our U/14 B team had a fine win against Borrisoleigh. All teams are down to play this week.  Our County girls won the Dublin Blitz last Saturday. Well done to Anna, Clodagh, Grace, Lisa, Mary, Martin, Mike, Niamh, Rachel and Sarah who are all part of the set-up. Thanks to everyone who travelled to both Dublin and Limerick to support our girls.
U/16s. Training is now back in full swing.  Well done to Elaine, Aisling and Michelle, who played with the Tipperary U/15 team in Dublin last weekend. They were very unlucky to lose out in the Final. Our U/16 team had a very good win away to Kilruane last Friday. We ask everyone to keep putting in the effort in training as this is a fine team which will have a big say in the Championship. We are due to play Clonoulty this weekend.
The junior b and minor panels will train on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Draw for the County Junior B Championship put us in a group with Roscrea, Moneygall, Portroe and Knockshegowna. This is due to start in early August.
On Tuesday last we were visited by Noel Wilson, the Wexford Camogie Development Officer. Noel took the girls for a training session and his expert knowledge made for an enjoyable evening which the players thoroughly enjoyed. We want to thank Noel for making the journey to MacDonagh Park and training the girls.
