Community games: We were defeated by Kilruane in Cloughjordan last week on a score of 6-0 to 2-1. This was a very good game between two skilful sides and despite having most of the possession, we could not put the scores on the board to win the game.  Thanks to Sean Brennan, David Kennedy and Frank Moran for their work with this team. Best of luck to Kilruane for the remainder of the competition.

U11: We were invited by Na Fianna club in Dublin to participate in the Dermot McNulty memorial tournament last weekend. We had a most enjoyable day at an extremely well run tournament. We won 4 out of 5 group games against opposition from Kilkenny, Wexford and Dublin, our only loss being to Kilmacud Crokes.  We came up against Kilmacud again in the final and gave our best performance to be just 2 points behind with time almost up, however  Kilmacud got a goal in the last minute to run out winners. Well done to the boys on a great tournament.  Special thanks to the parents that provided transport on the day and to Na Fianna for their invite and hospitality.

U14: Our footballers were beaten by a very strong Newport team in the semi final last week thus ending our interest in this years competition. Thanks to the players and selectors  for their efforts.
