Camogie News

U8s The u 8s played a game against Burgess last Saturday in Kilcolman. It was a very enjoyable game for all the team who are improving all the time and are making great friends. It was all the more enjoyable for them when they saw the feast provided for them by Burgess. Well done to all. We will be having our own 4 team Blitz next Saturday in MacDonagh park and we would like to encourage parents to bring food for the feast afterwards which is an important part of the day for the teams and parents.

U10s The u 10s travelled to play Shannon Rovers recently and both teams served up a feast of dedication and skill. Nenagh are improving with every game which shows their dedication to their training and ability to listen to their coaches. It is hoped that their will be one further blitz for them before the end of the season. Both the u 8s and u 10s will end the season with their annual parties.

U12s The u 12s have two teams who have been playing a number of games over the last two weeks. They have trained long and hard for the season and are bearing the fruits of the preparation with great displays over the last fortnight from all the members of the two teams. The future is very bright for the club with such an array of talent on and off the pitch.

U14s The u 14s lost the A county final against Drom recently. It was a final of great quality and Drom to be fair deserved their win. The Nenagh team gave everything they had and left nothing on the pitch and we are very proud of them for that and also the huge efforts they have put in over the year with their great coaches. This is merely a bump on the road for this team who will achieve greatness if they stay committed to Camogie and the club. Final Result Nenagh Eire Og 1-06 Drom and Inch 4-06

U15s The u 15s are due to play Toomevara in the County semi final This Saturday. Please come out in large numbers to support this team

Junior B The Junior B team gave us all a perfect antidote to the disappointing loss by the Nenagh Eire Og senior team early on Saturday evening when they put  St Cronins of Roscrea away with a convincing 3-10 to 2-02 win.. Those of us that made the Trip to Toomevara after the trip from Semple Stadium did so with heavy hearts. This Junior b team lifted us all out of our gloom with what could only be called a perfect display. I have written many accolades to this team but they continue to astonish me with their dedication to their club with huge displays from a team that are not the most talented in the world but improve with every game and work as a unit and get every ounce of ability out of their bodies. There is no one leader on this team as they are all leaders who chip in to get the best out of themselves when it matters. The mentors have also to take credit for their team selection which was very well balanced. From Laura McKenna in goals who had to be very alert a number of times to Alice Darcy who showed her true class to Mary Dillon who did an amazing marking job On St Cronins main player to Rebecca White who caugh ball after ball in Midfield to Loiuse Hickey who is displaying all the attributes of a human Dynamo to Gemma Morris who chipped in with 2 great goals. They now play Borrisoleigh in the quarter final next Saturday in the Ragg at 3.30.
